2021, bring it ON!


Projects, achievements and innovation would not be the same without the Transilvania IT team. The people behind the projects deserve to be seen and appreciated. We look with confidence to the year 2021 and we are convinced that we have achieved many things, but even more are the ones we will achieve this year!



Bianca Muntean is the Manager of Transilvania IT Cluster and the founder & coordinator of Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub, having almost 25 years of experience in innovation ecosystem development.

Bianca is a member of the European Cluster Expert Group, a group coordinated by DG Grow, European Commission, and also actively participates in various Consultative Councils focused on digital transformation at local, regional and national level.

In 2019 she was awarded the title of EU Cluster Manager of the Year, and her work is focused on supporting cross-sectoral collaboration in Europe. Bianca is also the recipient of the Open Innovation Luminary Award in 2017, given by the European Commission and The Open Innovation Strategy and Policy Group.

Bianca Muntean is a bridger, being one of the persons who linked important actors of the ecosystem and laid the foundations of local, regional, national and international collaborations, transforming Transilvania IT Cluster into a success story.




Alexandru Roja has 18 years of experience in academia and research, with expertise in topics such as strategic management, strategic intelligence, innovation management, entrepreneurship and digital transformation. Within Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub, his role is as an expert in orchestrating digital innovation, at macro level by defining relevant contexts for innovation, but also the development of organizational and institutional capacities and capabilities for digital transformation and innovation. His strong points are creative and strategic thinking, being the developer of the strategy for the European Digital Innovation Hub and contributing to the digitalization strategy of public services. He is also a lecturer for the digitization courses of the Culturepreneurs module and managed to operationalize Transilvania Living Lab, having the ability to do in-depth research in cross-cutting fields and the future of society, economy and technology.




In the last 10 years Mihai Pop has been engaged in various activities, projects and programs in the field of social change and innovation by transforming and constructively addressing conflicts at local, national and international levels. He worked with civil society organizations, schools in Romania and in the EMEA region, local and multinational companies in the field of lifelong learning, training and leadership. In Transilvania IT he manages operations and works towards the efficient allocation of our team members and resources, in correlation with the organizational priorities and strategic directions.




Andrea Pop is a sociologist, located in Oradea, with over 10 years experience in consultancy activities regarding accessing non-reimbursable funds for the public and private sector. Started working at Transilvania IT Cluster in 2018 and remained as project manager and from 2020 she is the Head of Transilvania IT Oradea. She perfected her skills by attending training courses in the following topics: project management, accessing European funds, communication, economic analysis (Cost-benefit) and others, currently a doctoral student at the University of Oradea, specializing in Sociology. Within the organization, she has the role of coordinating European funded projects, regional development of the association and of Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub.




Andra Tănase - A Romanian by birth and a global citizen by ethos and experience, a realistic idealist by nature and nurture, an economist and a peacebuilder by education and practice, Andra has worked for the past 15 years as a capacity building officer, trainer, project manager, consultant and executive director in the fields of development cooperation, conflict transformation and formal and non-formal education. Andra’s passion is to create environments of personal, organisational and societal strategic and systemic learning and development, and while this sounds complicated it is only complex and, at the same time, extremely feasible and magically rewarding when there is a will. Transilvania IT represents an opportunity to dive into the same issues from a very different perspective of the ICT sector, an opportunity to contribute, learn and grow and this is the reason why Andra joined the team.





Andrei Martîniuc is our Project Coordinator at Transilvania IT Cluster and manages the Cluster’s communication between internal and external stakeholders as well as European partners. He has a degree in Management at Babeș-Bolyai University at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and a master’s degree in Human Resources Management at the same faculty. Andrei started his journey in Transilvania IT Cluster as an Intern; till this day he has been with us for over 3 years and under his wing are the coordination of DIH2 and BOWI projects and manages the administrative area as well. He is a remarkable team player, always adopts an efficient way of tackling daily tasks and pays a lot of attention to details.





Ioana Corujan has been a Senior Technical expert at Transilvania IT Cluster for two years and has been working on European projects for almost 10 years. From the very beginning, she was divided between two fields: the humanitarian part, being a graduate of social work studies, with a master's degree in psychology and she also attended the courses of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, following a postgraduate degree in accounting. All this experience is now integrated in the projects carried out at Transilvania IT Cluster, especially Enterprise Europe Network and Transilvania Digitală Innovativa 2.0.





Loredana Miclăuș is one of the Technical experts, with solid background and skills for event organisation, network and partnership development, as well as for technical and coordination support. She has a degree in public administration at Babeș-Bolyai University at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences and a master degree in management.

She has worked both in public and private institutions and for about 10 years she is involved in accessing, implementing or even coordinating projects with local and european funds.

She is currently coordinating the Transilvania IT Cluster’s HR working group and eHealth working group and offers her knowledge to Transilvania IT Cluster and its members in accessing and implementing European funded projects.



Karl McFaul is a systems entrepreneur, inventor and strategist consulting on EU, city and business levels. He frequently lectures, gives talks and leads workshops on innovation, digital transformation, business development, the future of work and learning. As a member of the European Commission High-Level Expert Groups, Karl has developed a new framework for policy innovation for the EU. He is featured as an independent researcher in international publications, is an elected member of New Club of Paris, Future Center Alliance and former manager at the European Spallation Source (ESS), the €1.8 billion project constructing the world's most powerful big science infrastructure for materials research. Karl holds an Executive MBA from Lund University School of Economics & Management, an MFA from University of Gothenburg. He is a DSDM certified coach in business agility and a pioneer in IoT, V.R. and digital platform economics from Chalmers University of Technology.



Fulvia Iancu is a member of the Cluj Bar and the In-house lawyer at Transylvania IT Cluster. She graduated from the School of Law at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and the Master of Laws - Advanced Legal Studies at Warwick University in the UK.


Fulvia has over 10 years of professional experience. Her main areas of competence are: competition and EU law, data protection and IP. Fulvia is particularly interested in the effects of the GDPR and the legal issues specific to digital transformation. When not researching the legal field, Fulvia explores the world of arts through painting and photography.




Ciprian Pașca - Having over 20 years of experience in business strategy, sales & marketing, Ciprian has a passion for innovation and technology, focusing his expertise on accelerating startups, raising investments, and tech M&A. He is co-founder and President of Proptech Romania and Head of Startups Development on Transylvania IT, empowering startups to build their innovative solutions and expand to other markets. He enjoys being involved in provocative projects, his main preferred activities include growth strategies for tech companies, business development, marketing strategy, investment management, and sales enabling strategies


When we talk about numbers, here at Transilvania IT Cluster we always think of Simona Burian! For almost a year, Simona has been dealing with budgets, finances, management and everything that means the financial part of the organization! Simona has 14 years of experience in the financial field and has held a management position at Babeș-Bolyai University for 12 years. Her professional career totals over 20 European projects that she managed brilliantly every time, thanks to a good organization of activities, a feature that is used in her everyday life. Another organization he collaborated with is the Romanian Academy. Although she is one of the most experienced members of the team, Simona says that she keeps her enthusiasm every day!



Flavia Mureșan is part of the financial department of Transilvania IT Cluster and has more than 10 years of experience in this field. She also has 5 year of experience in ONG finance and knew from the beginning that she would follow the path of numbers because this passion is a "family legacy”. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, department of economics of commerce, services and tourism. She says that luck made her join the Transilvania IT team and she rocks the numbers and the budget everyday.




Ana Toth is one of the Administrative Responsibles at Transilvania IT, she enjoys the different challenges the role brings and she misses the physical events organized by the cluster. She has over 10 years of experience in sales, customer service and offering backoffice support. At Transilvania IT Cluster, Ana knows everything that happens and makes sure that everything goes according to plan

Together with Loredana Miclăuș, she coordinates the eHealth working group.



Ecaterina Torj has been working at Transilvania IT Cluster for a year, and she is also part of Transilvania IT Oradea. Her activities are primarily related to writing and implementing projects and consulting services. She has a master's degree in economics at University of Oradea and she has been involved in European projects since college when she joined an NGO. Cati describes herself as being ambitious and persevering, and the passion she puts into her work is easily seen in the results she has achieved over time.



Alina Mariana Streche has been a member of the Transilvania IT Cluster team for 1 year and a half and her main activity is writing and implementing projects. She is a graduate of the Faculty of European Studies, the Department of International Relations and began working on European projects during college. She says that this work constantly makes her push her limits. At Transilvania IT Cluster she learned to be organized and every day she offers support to her colleagues.




Raluca Bria is one of the Administrative Responsibles of Transilvania IT Cluster and Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub. She has a degree in International Relations and European Studies at Babeș-Bolyai University at the Faculty of European Studies and she has worked for more than 10 years in private medical clinics , gaining experience in coordinating and overseeing all administrative duties .


Currently she enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting an office in a completely different field.



Laura Goarnă is the PR specialist of Transilvania IT Cluster and Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub. She has a degree in communication sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences and recently began a master’s degree in International Communication at Faculty of European Studies. She has worked for more than 5 years in media institutions like PRO TV, DIGI24 and TVR, gaining experience in communicating with the media at national and international level.

Currently she is being involved in internal and external organizational communication.
