Interregional Collaboration Framework vision, mission, architecture and USP

This document outlines the shared vision and mission of BOOST partner organizations regarding the Interregional Collaboration (IC) Framework, a key tool for enhancing innovation in Europe's NUTS 2 regions. It covers stakeholder mapping, co-design principles, and a 5-year action plan aimed at innovation ecosystem drivers. The document details the IC Framework’s strategic directions—know & understand, plan & scale, and monitor & consolidation—and its five components: mission, local business culture, governance model, participation, and funding sources. It also presents the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) as a fast-lane collaboration ticket for European innovation, emphasizing that this is a first iteration open to further refinement through stakeholder feedback.

Regional state of the art of the partners’ Regional Innovation Frameworks

This document assesses the Regional Innovation Frameworks (RIF) within the BOOST project, focusing on the territories represented by six partner organizations. It starts with an overview of the European innovation framework, followed by a benchmarking of the BOOST countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Estonia, Denmark) against EU averages, highlighting strengths and weaknesses. The analysis targets sectors such as Industry 4.0, Cleantech, Health & Well-being, and ICT, aligned with European priorities. It details national innovation frameworks, including governance, key players, policies, and strategies. Additionally, it reviews the state of innovation in the five BOOST regions using economic and social indicators and a SWOT analysis to identify opportunities and areas for improvement in innovation.

Innovation Enablers mapping and Intrarregional Collaboration dynamics

This document outlines the BOOST project's efforts to facilitate intra- and inter-regional collaboration among innovation stakeholders from five European regions over two years. Using a participatory and inclusive methodology, the project aims to co-design an Innovation Action Plan to support inter-regional collaboration for the next five years. The vision is to create an inclusive, structured, fast-lane collaboration framework that enhances the value of innovation and reduces gaps among European regions. The study provides an overview of key stakeholders in the five partner regions and assesses current intra-regional collaboration. BOOST will map, analyze, and foster dialogue to engage innovation stakeholders across the quadruple helix, creating an active BOOST community and enabling corridor collaboration.

A Report on the current IC level among partners’ ecosystems

This report aims to assess the current Interregional Collaboration level amongst the BOOST project partners’ ecosystems, which include the North-West region (Romania), North East region (Bulgaria), South Denmark, Estonia, and Catalunya (Spain). The report provides an overview and analysis of the collaboration efforts within these ecosystems, focusing on the six dimensions of collaboration: Mission, Participation, Governance, Culture, Finance, and Actions.
