Madalina Neacsu

On January 23, 2025, Transilvania IT Cluster, in collaboration with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, organized the SHINE Info Day as part of the Erasmus+ project Strategic Higher-education Initiative for Networking and Engineering (SHINE).

The event provided an opportunity to introduce the SHINE project to the local community, highlighting its objectives and innovative methodology aimed at transforming higher education. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dan Sergiu Stan from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca presented the project’s vision to integrate STEM/STEAM methodologies with pedagogical psychology and detailed plans for the development of iHUBs on the Metaverse platform—a virtual space for workshops and lectures.

The Info Day also showcased the project’s upcoming activities, including the creation of educational materials, hackathons, and workshops, while engaging stakeholders from the educational and professional community.

The SHINE project is implemented by an international consortium of 8 organizations from Poland, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Greece, working together to create innovative solutions for higher education:

  • Gdańsk University of Technology (Poland) – Project Leader

  • Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania)
