DIH² believes in the power of robotics to transform the agility of manufacturing in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and drive economic growth across the European Union. The role of the project is to facilitate the connections that will enable agile production in factories where speed and versatility are essential to satisfy customer demand.

DIH²

With a vision to build a sustainable pan-European network to facilitate and accelerate the knowledge and technology exchange among robotics Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs), the project has the objective to grow the European Digital Innovation Hubs network from 26 to 170 by 2022. The DIHs will facilitate the uptake of the latest robotic technologies across the European Union in the field of Agile Production.

The project aims to :

  • enhance the cost effectiveness of advanced robotics solutions

  • drive growth of the robotics market

  • generate innovation that maximises productivity and optimises agility in over 300,000 Manufacturing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Mid-Caps across the European Union.


The ultimate goal of DIH² is to establish a sustainable network of robotics DIHs, endowed with tools and procedures, to facilitate the commercialisation and broad uptake of Agile Production by manufacturing SMEs and Mid-Caps.
 
Equity-free funding (up to 248.000 €/proposal) will be available through two calls for manufacturing SMEs with up to 500 employees and a maximum of €100 million in turnover and system integrators and technology providers specialised in technology transfer or integration to end users.
 
Transilvania IT Cluster manages the project in Romania, first open call has closed with 6 consortia from Romania which applied their proposals. All applicants received support from our organisation in matchmaking and writing process.
